We only use natural wax — a soft, sustainable blend of coconut and rapeseed.

We don’t use paraffin, which can release soot and toxins, and we avoid soy wax because it’s linked to deforestation and habitat loss and gives a weaker scent throw.

We also don’t add any unnecessary extras — no artificial colours, microplastics, glitter, or chemical additives. Just clean, honest ingredients that do what they should.

We pour our wax in layers, with stronger and softer concentrations, so you get gentle bursts of scent throw rather than one overpowering, stuffy release that can cause those “perfume headaches.”

We’re a small family business, and we handmake everything in Yorkshire.

We take safety and allergens seriously, doing things properly, not quickly. We’re insured, inspected, and fully compliant with all UK and EU CLP regulations.

Everything we make is vegan, cruelty-free, eco-conscious, and sustainable.

Each bar gives a long-lasting fragrance — around 60–90 hours per bar, with 6–9 hours per segment depending on your warmer and room size.

1. Start with a cool burner.
   Place the wax into a cold, switched-off burner. This allows the wax to warm gradually as the dish heats, ensuring the fragrance oils release evenly and preventing scorching.
2. Snap off two segments of your wax bar and place them in the dish.
   One segment gives a gentle background scent; two will fill a larger space with balanced fragrance.
3. Switch the burner on and allow it to warm naturally.
   The wax will melt evenly, releasing fragrance that feels rich and layered but never stuffy or overpowering.
4. Turn off the burner once finished for the day and let the wax cool completely.
   Once solid, it will lift out easily when you’re ready to replace it.
5. To remove used wax:
   Once solid, gently press one edge to pop the wax out.
   Or, while still warm (not hot), add cotton wool balls to absorb it. Dispose safely in household waste — never pour melted wax down the sink.
6. Re-melting:
   You can re-melt the same wax for a light, subtle fragrance, but most scent will have been released during the first cycle.
   

1. Place two segments of wax in the dish — no more than this to prevent spillage or overheating.
2. Use a 4-hour tealight only — never an 8-hour one.
   Longer-burning tealights create excess heat, which can cause burners to crack and wax or fragrance oils to overheat. A 4-hour tealight provides the ideal, steady temperature for a clean, safe burn.
3. Position safely.
   Always place your burner on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from curtains, draughts, children, and pets.
4. Light the tealight and enjoy.
   The wax will begin to melt within minutes, releasing a steady, layered scent. We recommend setting a 4-hour timer on Alexa or your phone to remind you to extinguish the flame safely.
5. After use:
   Allow the wax to cool and solidify before removing it. Never pour or scrape out hot wax.
   To clean, gently press one edge of the cooled wax to release it, or slightly warm it next time and use cotton wool to absorb the softened wax.

We could make wax melts for half the price if we cut corners — cheap wax, synthetic colourants, and filler additives — but that’s not what Warmth & Wick is about. We’ve chosen to do things properly, using a soft, clean blend of coconut and rapeseed wax that’s better for you, your home, and the planet.

Why not soy?

Soy wax might sound natural, but large-scale soy production often leads to deforestation and habitat loss. It also gives a weaker scent throw and shorter burn time, and contains compounds that can act as endocrine disruptors for some people. It’s cheaper — but not cleaner.

Why not paraffin?

Paraffin wax is a petroleum by-product, made from fossil fuels. It burns hotter and faster, releasing soot and toxins into the air — not something we’d ever want in your home.

Why coconut and rapeseed?

Our blend is renewable, biodegradable, and clean-burning. It gives a longer burn time and a smooth, balanced fragrance without the heavy, stuffy feel. It’s sustainable, safe, and made the right way — not the cheapest way.

We’d rather make something we’re proud of, even if it costs a little more.

We believe everyone deserves a home that smells beautiful, soft, and clean — not one filled with cheap wax and synthetic fumes.

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused items in their original condition.

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll cover the return postage — otherwise, customers are responsible for return shipping.
